I make two basic body styles, a Dreadnaught and a “Small Jumbo”, which is the curvier deep-waisted shape. A Venetian cutaway is available for either style.

I build two variations of the dreadnaught. The D and DC models have the traditional punchy, attack-and-decay sound favored by flatpickers and bluegrass players. The D-L and DC-L, in contrast, have long sustain and rich overtones that fingerstyle players prefer. There's no visible difference in the variations; it’s all in the interior bracing.

The Small Jumbo SJ and its cutaway version SJ-C , is always voiced for rich overtones and sustain. The voice tends to be a little quieter and less brassy than a dreadnaught, but in no way is it wimpy or “plunky”. The closest standard I can compare it to is a triple-O.
